By day I analyse web traffic, find trends, mastermind campaigns, put together websites that will be found by search engines and optimise the 'user experience' to the max so the site works hard for the brand, and by night... I do exactly the same for my wbros website, for fun...
yes.. its official... I am a web geek.

websites websites websites...
So, things are on track and I'm very pleased to say the Woolvett bros website will be having its annual overhaul in January, as the new site design and build begins to take shape behind the scenes. I am finally ditching those html tables and moving into the wonderful world of CSS, which I've been working with now for some time on a professional basis, it was really about time I transfered it to my favourite hobby site!
Right now I couldn't be working on more website projects if I tried, by day I'm trying to mastermind the online presence of the worlds longest running Home Exhibition which will celebrate its 100th birthday in March 'The Daily Mail Ideal Home Show', the website recently launched and has so far gone down very well with lots more still to come, keeping me busy!
There's also another company I'm doing a favour for, in overseeing their next steps online with a brand new e-commerce site and then a project that I totally support which is a childrens charity set up by a work colleague and friend who I'll be making a website for, to help her spread the word, it's going to be based on the new woolvettbros template, so certainly means all my efforts in building that are going to go towards a very good cause as well!
Was very pleased yesterday to get a preview of Jaimz Woolvett's new agency pics, which have instantly been put to use in the new site design/build, so if I can be that cruel you'll have to wait till January to see them! They are very cool new shots and you never know, I might sneak them onto the current site if you're lucky ;)
So remember to watch this space for a very new, very exciting Woolvett bros website coming soon!!
more updates will follow....

Some updates...
So when I thought I'd never get any more updates for the site, and started to consider making stuff up... I mean, not literally, in the sense of finding new angles on old stuff.. honest.. along comes two bits of things to update the site with.
Firstly, thanks to a wonderful person called Spudz who lives in Canada, and
loves Street Legal, I found a shiney dvd of an episode Jaimz Woolvett appeared in delivered to me. The episode was called Home and it originally aired in 1989, when I would guess Jaimz was 22, and he played a 15/16 year old. I must admit I thought it would go the usual path of a kid 'accidently' kills another in a fight, but oh no, Jaimz's character meant it, which makes the episode the more interesting plot wise, and more enjoyable as I'm not usually a fan of court roomy stuff. So another few screen caps to add to the site!
Check out Jaimz's film/tv credits page under Street Legal to see them.

And then FINALLY after many a moon, and exactly a year since Gordon Woolvett first mentioned it to me, I have the title of the TV Movie he made last year 'Secrets of an Undercover Wife' that I have since found out made its debut on March 19th 2007 - but fear not, if you missed that showing it is showing again on November 19th on Lifetime, USA/Can - and if anyone happens to record it and feels very generous to a deprived UKer, then I'm always willing to take donations for the site!

Something else of interest, and to some amusement is seeing a very young Nicole De Boer, pre her Deepwater Black days opposite Gordon, playing Jaimz's girlfriend in the episode!

Collectormania 12
So today I found myself in Milton Keynes, in England. Milton Keynes is an odd place, a new build town/city that unlike 99% of all other English towns, was actually planned using rulers so most roads are straight, with an addiction to countless roundabouts.

Collectormania itself is a signing fair, randomly placed in a shopping centre/mall - its a weird affair where the geeks meet the normals in an everyday shopping experience. You can be doing your normal weekend shop and find yourself walking past a poor mans spiderman, who's looking for the toilets.
One of the reasons for my visit was to see Kevin Sorbo, Captain Dylan Hunt - yes, that's the link and why I'm even mentioning my day... its all so I can publish my picture with the giant.. honest I'm not that short really, Kevin is just very very very very tall!

SAR not SARS....
One is a cool and anticipated tv show, the other a icky virusy thingie that no one anticipates (oh no, now having Monty Python flashbacks with Spanish Inquisitions...) ahem... SAR is a term all Woolvett fans following Gordon's new show will have to become familiar with over the coming months, short for 'Search and Rescue'. I mention this solely because this week has brought about the first fansite for the show 'SARCentral.com', and as the news about SAR starts to filter out, and once the show begins to air next March, I'm guessing this site will become the new black (or something like that), so bookmark it now and proudly claim in months to come how you were there at the beginning, as we predict a hit show in the making! Obviously, Wbros is never one to shirk responsibility and will be reporting on the shows rumours and news as they are heard, visit the Search and Rescue Rumours page to find out the lastest gossip.
I finally managed to write my review for Everythings Gone Green that you can read here I tried not to be too down on the film, because I did enjoy it but from a Woolvett perspective, and lets face it - its probably the reason any of us would watch it, it was disapointing - not because of the acting I hasten to add, but the way in which GMW's character was treated, in the sense Spike just ceased to exist about two thirds in for no reason. This entry is very Gordon orientated, not got much to report on
the Jaimz front other than a cryptic message he sent me that I have a team of decipherers (is that even a word?) right now trying to figure out, as soon as they do I'll let you know ;) But I am very happy with the response there has been to the very excellant music videos Jaimz kindly offered to the site - since they've been added they have been viewed over 200 times, now if only I could get more people to leave their comments to reflect this great interest I'd be even more happy!

so far so good...
as promised, I'm remembering the blog and thought it would be a good opportunity to share some cool stuff I've stumbled upon lately (and keep up that myth that all I do all day is hunt high and low for all things Woolvett online... well now Hannah's at Uni, someone has to!)
"Before I say anything about last night's episode, I have three words for you: Gordon Michael Woolvett. When I realized he was playing Sara's father I gave a most fangirl-like squee. You see I was a huge Andromeda fan for the first season and a half – right up until Robert Hewlett Wolfe left – and Gordon's Seamus Harper was, for me, the one consistent bright spot as the series devolved."
Came across this in a blog by the author of the Blood Ties novels, Tanya Huff, her books are now a tv series that if you'd paid attention to this site at all you'd know GMW guest starred in - I think the fourth episode titled 'Gifted' - seems he has a secret fangirl if you read her blog and I quote...

note to self...update blog more regularly!
So September already, ok.. nearly october already... eep, its been a while but the world of woolvett bros website has not stayed still.
Last month I travelled to Atlanta, Georgia to see Gordon Woolvett at Dragoncon, a fab time was had and surprised to find Gordon remembered me and I didn't need to introduce myself after all! Along with those with me we were treated to a very nice little trip to the green room with Gordon to chat about life and stuff before he was needed for con duties again. You can read my full report here on a very fun weekend geeking out at Dragoncon.

With his permission I was then able to edit the footage into some cool music videos that now appear on this very site - check them out!
So what's coming up with Woolvett bros and can it possibly have any more to add to the world? Hopefully yes... more reviews will be added to the review section, including Gordon's latest film 'Everythings Gone Green' that I've finally seen but the biggest change will come with a complete rebuild of the site that is in its initial stages at the moment - with the ever changing webby landscape the time has come to upgrade the site structure to one that is more flexible and easier to manage and as much as I love my html tables, it's just not the way to do things now. The new site wont appear before January 2008 earliest and I'm not planning any disruptions or site down periods so hopefully the new build will not affect service at all... in theory ;)
That just leaves me to say congratulations to Gordon Woolvett who has just found himself cast in a new tv show 'Search and Rescue' which will be on our screens sometime in 2008, staring with Steve Bacic his old Andromeda co-star and to give an extra additional huge thanks to Jaimz - your music rocks, and it's been a great addition to the site!
till the next time I remember this site has a blog...

Happy June!
Is it really June already?!
Already its been six months since I redesigned/relauched wbros and I have to say its seems to have done well, the past two months site stats have positively gone through the roof, and its been extra cool to see so many old school friends of the bros show up and give their support!
I am in the very early early days of planning another wbros webchat, so make sure you sign up for the first alert mailing list (sign up here) as this time around only those on the mailing list will be invited to attend. I'm taking a little break from doing any further work on the site at the moment, pretty busy with other projects and about to head off to Germany for a wee while but don't fear I still have plenty of plans for the site, and I intend to add a few more reviews very soon!
Always remember this site is just as much for you as anyone, so feel free to use the comment cards and add your own reviews, submit suggestions to the capture game, its all about the fans, as well as the woolvett bros!
have fun!

All new news!!!
Well I've been madly busy lately, but you may have noticed small site updates and changes over the past month. One success was the Jaimz Woolvett birthday book that received a great response, and even a word from the man himself on the occasion of his 40th birthday.
Today I have finally got around to completely revamping and rebuilding the news area of the site, no longer a forgotten area, its now being pushed to the front and works a lot better now with a easy to read format and the addition of photos - its looking a lot brighter - plus the addition of being able to offer an RSS feed subscription option, so for all you techies and news hounds out there who use RSS feeds, it should make getting Woolvett news even easier!
To all those great people who submitted comments and reviews - thank you, you should now find your contributions on the appropriate pages, please keep your reviews coming as they are looking great on the site and we can always use more!
I have many more updates and changes I'll be looking to implement soon enough, and as the site rapidly approaches its first birthday (May 1st!) its still not in the least bit finished! I doubt it ever will be lol - thanks for visiting and reading!

The site is back!!
apologies to all those who noticed the site was down for nearly four days, and a frown to those of you who didn't notice ;)
Due to a critical server error, and the woolvettbros site being in the 3% of files that couldn't be salvaged, the site was down from Thursday 1st March to Monday 5th.
But everything is ok now, and I was able to upload the site completely today, so hopefully it won't disappear again anytime soon!!

more and more updates...
ok, so not quite hit that busy time yet, its a coming...
So I've been able to update the site with some great things. Most important development is the introduction of review and comment forms... you should find on various pages and under all the reviews an option for you to offer your own views! I'm not sure how these will be displayed yet but once I have a few in, and possible not till April due to workload, I will sta
rt adding all entries to the site. Suffice to say it couldn't be easier now to contribute to the site, all you have to do is fill in the blanks and hit submit, all entries welcome so please do feel free to contribute!

Another new section added!
Woolvett Bros now has an audio section, featuring some very cool sound bytes from movies and tv featuring Gordon and Jaimz. The clips are courtesy of the very lovely and talented Hannah, and are of the tippy top quality you'd expect! (yes thats me being nice... make a note).
Also added is a short feedback form, that can be filled in so I know what you like and what you'd like to see added in the future - thanks to everyone who has taken the time so far to fill the form in, much appreciated!
I have also updated Jaimz's credit page with captures from his second JAG appearence - Mutiny, in which he plays a guy who is hanged in the first scene, but thankfully through the magic of flashbacks you get to see why as the episode progresses. Also check out the newly launched Everything's Gone Green movie website - plenty of Gordon pictures to keep you entertained and it seems he's made it onto the official poster for general release!
Unfortunately I'm about to hit a pretty busy time at work, including working some weekends so this could be the last update for a little while... but there are still things in the pipeline that I'll be hoping to add to the site over the coming months, so keep checking back!

Happy February!!
Finally, with the site re-launch/re-design at the beginning of January I have finally gotten around to recovering my site blog, so I can keep you all up to date with the site's activities and changes.
The redesign and launch seems to have gone down well, with increased traffic measured at 120% on Decembers figures, so thank you to everyone for not only visiting but in most cases coming back! I hope you have found the increased content and new features a welcome progression from the original concept.
Added this week -
